Typical shell-length 10 mm. Lives subtidally in sand in moderately sheltered environments.
Endemic to southern and eastern Australia (NSW, TAS, VIC, SA and perhaps QLD). In Tasmania this is a widespread species, but generally rare; most likely to be found in the N.
